Coverage: For Mitsubishi Electric Starmex split systems with an infrared handheld remote.

Start with the labels you can see.

Model families narrow the search. The remote completes it because one family can ship with different handsets across years and capacities.

What M200 can add.

M200 or the Starmex WiFi module

Mitsubishi Electric's MyME route uses the official MAC-597IF-EM WiFi interface on compatible Starmex indoor units. M200 is the infrared route. The right choice depends on the type of feedback and smart-home system you want.

Choose the official interface when direct indoor-unit integration is the priority. Choose M200 when Matter, Aqara automations and a plug-in retrofit are more useful.

Match first. Test every control.

Aqara Home guides the profile match. Keep the original remote beside you and test the controls that matter before building schedules or Matter routines.

Compatibility answers.

Check the model and remote before ordering. Five minutes now avoids guessing during setup.

01Will M200 work with my Mitsubishi Starmex?+

M200 is intended for infrared remote-controlled split systems, including the Starmex families listed above. The final check happens in Aqara Home by matching the profile and testing power, temperature, mode and fan commands against the actual indoor unit.

02Is M200 the same as the Mitsubishi WiFi adapter?+

They use different control paths. The official MAC-597IF-EM interface connects to a compatible indoor unit and uses MyME. M200 stays in the room and sends infrared commands, then can bridge the aircon to Matter platforms.

03Can I keep using the Starmex remote?+

Yes. M200 can detect compatible commands from the original remote and update its recorded state in Aqara Home. M200 records the observed command. The aircon provides no native two-way confirmation.

04How many M200 hubs do I need for a Starmex System 3?+

Use one M200 in each room you want to control. Infrared does not pass through walls, so a three-bedroom setup normally uses three M200 hubs.

05Does this cover Mitsubishi Heavy Industries aircon?+

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries uses different models and remote profiles from Mitsubishi Electric Starmex. Send us the remote and indoor-unit labels so we can check the correct brand profile.

Works with your aircon brand.

Start with the name on the indoor unit, then check the remote. Each guide explains the common Singapore model families, the controls M200 can add and the limits of infrared.

Send the remote. We'll check the fit.

Include the front, rear label and indoor-unit model if it is easy to reach.
