A 5V/2A USB power adapter is not included.
Infrared cannot pass through walls. Plan on one M200 per independently controlled room.

01Will it work with my aircon?+
It is intended for air-conditioners operated by an infrared remote, including the major split-unit brands used in Singapore. Send us a photo of an unusual remote if you want confirmation before buying.
02Can I keep using the old remote?+
Yes. Compatible commands from the original remote can be received by M200 so its stored on/off and mode state remains useful. Nothing forces the household to change habits overnight.
03Why do I need one in every room?+
Infrared is line-of-sight and does not travel through walls. One M200 per room is the straightforward way to keep each aircon reliable and independently controllable.
04Does it need a subscription?+
No. There is no monthly HomeSmart or Aqara subscription for the core control, schedule and local automation features described here.
05What happens if the internet goes down?+
Eligible local Aqara automations can keep running on the hub. Away-from-home control, cloud notifications and other internet services naturally require a connection.
