The Aqara M2 Hub gives you smart control over your air-conditioner – and it works with any air-con with a remote. Gain remote, smartphone controls over your AC – turning it on and off, and setting desired temperature and fan settings. Can be set up easily in 5 minutes without any tools. Usage ideas:
- Turn on AC before you get home
- Turn off AC in the baby’s room
- Turn off AC in bedroom at 2am, and on at 5am with temperature set to 27C
- Left your AC running at home? Turn it off with your smartphone
With an added temperature sensor, you can create temperature-based automations
- When temperature goes up to 30C, turn on AC
- When temperature goes down to 26C, set AC to 28C, fan speed low
By adding an Aqara Wireless Mini Switch, you can configure another way to turn your AC on and off.
The Aqara M2 Hub controls your aircon by sending infrared beams to your air-con unit, similar to the ones sent by remote controls. As IR beams do not penetrate walls, a hub can only control an air-con in the same room, and limited by range (around 10m).
