Smart aircon control for the air-conditioner you already have
Your split aircon already listens to an infrared remote. Put an Aqara M200 or M3 hub in the room and it listens to your phone, a schedule and the rest of your smart home too. If you would rather have a controller on the wall with its own screen, that is Mysa, sold by our sister store AirSmart.

Both talk to the aircon the same way the remote does. The difference is the app you want to live in and what else the box does for you.

Pick this if you want the aircon in Aqara Home alongside your switches, sensors, lights and curtains. The M200 is the one most homes need; the M3 is for a large home or several hubs. Both are also the Zigbee hub your other Aqara devices need.

You may already own the controller
The M200 and M3 both have the infrared blaster built in. If one already sits in the room with the aircon, open Aqara Home, add an air-conditioner and choose your remote. No extra hardware needed. Other Aqara hubs, including the M100 and the camera hubs, do not have infrared.

Where it goes
Put the hub in the same room, where it can see the aircon
The hub sends the same infrared signal as your remote, so it needs a clear line to the aircon. There is no wiring to the unit and nothing to modify. Infrared does not go through walls, so each room with an aircon needs its own hub.
The M200 keeps the app honest. When someone uses the original remote, the M200 notices and updates the app, so what you see on your phone matches the room.

Smart aircon control questions
Can I make my existing aircon smart?
Yes, if it uses an infrared remote, as most split units do. A unit with a wired wall controller and no remote needs a different approach; ask us.
Does it need any wiring?
No. The hub plugs into power and joins your Wi-Fi or Ethernet, then sends infrared to the aircon exactly as the remote does. Nothing is wired into the unit.
Do I need one in every room?
Yes, where a wall divides the rooms. Infrared does not pass through walls. One hub can reach two units in the same open space, but test it before you rely on it.
What if someone uses the original remote?
The aircon still obeys it. The M200 notices the remote's command and updates the app, so what you see on your phone is right. Other controllers may keep showing the last command they sent.
Do I need a temperature sensor?
Not for basic control. Mysa has one built in. With an Aqara hub, add a Climate Sensor W100 or a Presence Sensor FP300 if you want cooling to follow the room rather than the clock.
Does it work with Apple Home, Google Home or Alexa?
Mysa supports all three directly. The M200 and M3 can expose the aircon to those platforms through Matter; the product page lists what each platform can do.
Does it work without internet?
Your original remote always works. Schedules and scenes on the Aqara hub keep running locally. Control from outside the home, and Mysa's cloud features, need internet.
Will it cut my electricity bill?
It does not make the aircon itself more efficient. It stops the aircon running when nobody is in the room and lets you set sensible schedules, which is where the saving comes from.
