Which lock

Main door, HDB gate, or both together

Start with the opening. Your door decides between a mortise lock, a deadbolt and a retrofit; your gate needs a lock nobody can reach through the grille.

The U500 Gate Lock is built for gates: fingerprint and key on both sides, so there is no knob to reach through. The U100, U400 and B50 have gate versions too.

Gate locks

A gate lock nobody can open through the grille

An ordinary lock on a grille leaves its inside knob within reach. These need a fingerprint or key inside too, or keep the knob out of reach.

U500 Gate Lock

Built for HDB gates. Fingerprint and key on both sides, PIN, NFC, Home Key and Matter over Thread. Fits gates 22 to 28 mm thick.

Most families use one method every day and keep two as backups.

Face recognition

The D200i recognises your face in 3D and opens with your hands full.

Fingerprint

The fastest everyday method. On every lock here except the B50 and U50.

PIN and guest codes

Your helper gets their own code, a visitor gets a one-time code. Pad the PIN with random digits so nobody can watch it.

NFC cards

Tap an Aqara card. Good for children and grandparents who do not carry a phone.

Apple Home Key

Tap your iPhone or Apple Watch on the lock. On every lock here except the B50.

Hands-free with the U400

The U400 unlocks as you walk up with a UWB-capable iPhone or Apple Watch in your pocket. No tap needed.

Smart lock questions

Will a smart lock fit my door?

Most Singapore main doors take an A100, D100 or D200i, but handles, cut-outs and door material vary. Send photos of the outside, inside and edge of your door and we confirm the fit for free.

Which locks work on an HDB metal gate?

The U500 Gate Lock is built for gates. The U100 Gate Kit and the gate versions of the U400 and B50 fit many gates too. We check your gate from photos first.

Which Aqara locks support Apple Home Key?

A100, D100, D200i, U50, U100, U200 Kit, U300, U400 and U500. The B50 does not. You tap your iPhone or Apple Watch on the lock; unlocking without a tap as you walk up is a U400 feature.

Does a smart lock need a hub?

Not to unlock. Fingerprint, PIN, card and key work on their own. Remote unlocking, logs and automations need an Aqara hub, or a Matter home hub for the Thread locks. The door and gate bundles include an M100 hub.

What happens if the battery runs out?

You still get in. Depending on the model there is a mechanical key, an emergency USB-C power port or a manual knob inside, and the lock warns you well before the battery is flat.

Can my door and gate use the same fingerprint?

Yes. Enrol the same fingerprint or PIN on both locks, and one Aqara NFC card on most pairs. Each lock keeps its own user list, so add each person to both.

Is installation included?

Most lock prices include installation on a standard wooden door or gate, as stated on each product page. Aluminium doors, gate fabrication and other extra work are quoted after the fit check.
