Deadbolt-Style Smart Door Lock
The Homesmart.sg Aqara U100 is a highly secure smart door lock that was designed for ease-of-installation and convenient access. As a deadbolt-type smart lock, it usually sits above your mortise lock and handle, or exists standalone on your door with a long, vertical handlebar. It features a convenient, auto-locking deadbolt, which can also be disabled in settings. With support for multiple users – each with their own fingerprints, PIN codes, and NFC cards, the Homesmart.sg Aqara U100 is a simple way to add smart, biometric access to your door.
The Homesmart.sg Aqara U100 has an in-built Apple security chip to support Apple Home Keys and Apple HomeKit. Unlock your door with your Home Key stored in your Apple Wallet – simply tap your iPhone or Apple Watch near the lock. You can also see the lock status on the Apple Home app.

The Homesmart.sg Aqara U100 Smart Lock has an embedded high-precision fingerprint reader from Precise Biometrics, that can store up to 50 fingerprints. With a biometric identification speed of less than 0.5 seconds, plus an automatic deadbolt, unlocking your door is keyless and convenient.
And with an identification rate of 98.6%, the U100 responds naturally and eliminates false fingerprints.

One Tap to Open
The Homesmart.sg Aqara U100 has full support for Apple’s home security technology – Apple Home Keys. Add a Home Key to your Apple Wallet, and your iPhone and Apple Watch will now act as keys. Simply place your device near the Aqara U100 to unlock it.
Apple Home Keys support two modes – Express Mode, which unlocks the door with a quick tap; or a more secure mode which requires Face ID or Passcode before the door unlocks.
- Apple Home Keys require an iPhone (XR or XS and later – see compatible list). Requires Apple Watch Series 4 and later.
Multiple Users and Unlocking Methods
Quick, Secure Entry for Family and Friends
The Homesmart.sg Aqara U100 Smart Door Lock supports multiple users, each with their own PIN codes, fingerprints, and NFC devices. Store up to 50 fingerprints, 50 PIN codes, and 25 NFC devices. Users can be set with different access levels.
As part of your smart home, the smart lock can also be locked and unlocked with the Aqara Home and Apple Home apps. It can also be unlocked with Google Assistant.
In addition, the Homesmart.sg Aqara D100 also supports temporary PIN codes which can be generated offline, and mechanical keys.
User management is easily configured through the Aqara Home app, even remotely. Adding or removing individual PINs, fingerprints, and NFC cards is straightforward and easy.

What’s the difference between this U100 deadbolt lock, and the mortise locks like the A100?
A deadbolt differs from a mortise primarily in design, construction, and installation (basically everything!)
Deadbolts are generally standalone locks that are installed separately from the doorknob or handle. Mortise locks, on the other hand, are integrated locksets that combine both the lock and the doorknob (or handle) in one unit. It requires a rectangular pocket or mortise to be cut into the edge of the door, hence the name “mortise lock.”
In general, most door locks in Singapore HDBs are mortise locks. Some condos may feature deadbolt locks – these are usually accompanied by long handlebars.

Should I get a deadbolt smart lock, or a mortise smart lock?
It's up to you! A deadbolt smart lock may be a good choice if your existing lock is a deadbolt. If, on the other hand, your existing lock is a mortise, it may make sense to install a mortise smart lock like the Aqara A100 or the Aqara D100 in its place.
Some applications where the Aqara U100 Deadbolt-style lock may perform better:
- Your existing lock is a deadbolt lock
- You have a long, vertical handlebar that doesn't leave much space for the bigger A100 or D100
- You want to retain your existing handle lock
- Interior doors
- You have an existing lockset that may leave holes when installing the A100 or D100 - in this case it may make sense to install the U100 above your existing lockset
