In this portfolio post, we showcase a home that, while not fully furnished, provides a pristine demonstration of the functionality and design of our Aqara products. Initially, we visited this home to set up Aqara devices into the Aqara app for the client, but we quickly realised it was the perfect opportunity to capture the simplicity and elegance of Aqara’s smart solutions. As a result, we filmed the entire setup process, demonstrating how effortlessly Aqara products integrate into everyday living.

This home features a variety of smart devices, including wall switches, motorized curtains, wireless switches, and sensors, all working in harmony to create a seamless smart living experience. In the living room and master bedroom, the homeowner opted for double-pleated motorized curtains, installed with custom tracks and motors provided by us. These curtains are designed with a focus on noise reduction, offering a smooth tug-to-open/close function for added convenience.
The white H1 smart switches were selected to control non-Aqara lights in the living area, illustrating the versatility of our products as they sync effortlessly with other lighting systems. The H1 switches emit a gentle, satisfying click when used, adding a subtle yet refined touch to the user experience.
To further enhance the home’s automation, the homeowner installed the Aqara Magic Pad S1 Plus, a touch-screen control device that simplifies management of all connected devices. We programmed a few scenes, such as an ‘all off’ feature, which allows the homeowner to turn off all his lights (via his Aqara smart switches) with just one touch. Additionally, the living room air conditioner can be integrated into this scene, turning off both the lights and the air conditioner simultaneously.
The Z1 Pro smart switch, placed next to the Magic Pad, offers precise control over Aqara dimmable and tuneable lights, enabling the homeowner to effortlessly adjust the lighting scene with a simple slider. While the homeowner did not opt for Aqara smart lights, this switch can be customised to manage other elements of the home’s smart ecosystem, including curtains and more, such as sliding down to close, and up to open.
At the heart of this system is the Aqara M3 Hub, which utilizes Matter-over-Thread technology to connect all Aqara devices into a unified system. This hub also facilitates remote control of the air conditioner through its built-in IR blaster, providing complete control and comfort at the homeowner’s fingertips.
This project demonstrates the ease and elegance with which Aqara products can transform a home into a smart, intuitive living space.
