Participating in Asia’s Premier Design fair and trade show – FIND Design Fair Asia 2024 – HomeSmart x Aqara showcased how smart technology can be integrated seamlessly with its product design philosophies, and contribute to a space’s design through its smart customizations and automations.
We are proud to have been part of Singapore Design Week, and thrilled to have demonstrated our products – and how they fit into design – to interior designers, architects, and industry professionals. Our team highlighted the practical benefits of smart home solutions while emphasizing their aesthetic harmony with modern spaces, showing how technology can enhance both functionality and style in home and commercial designs.
The HomeSmart x Aqara Experience
The HomeSmart x Aqara booth was situated at 1F46, with a full range of smart home products on display over 21 square metres.
As a design fair, we went to great lengths to create a space that was not just displaying products in racks – we set about creating an experience for our industry partners – a space where they could not only see the wide range of products, but also see how our products can work in real, quantifiable ways, and experience the effects of having these smart technologies in one space.
This is easier said than done, as our product range is as wide and as varied as ours. It took three full display shelves, and an island display counter to display 90% of our products – we left many other products out of the fair due to the size (such as our Aqara smart laundry rack).
They were, essentially, divided into different zones. Smart door locks occupied one half of a display island, while smart hubs and cameras occupied the other half. One display shelf had smart lighting, one had smart switches, and one had “others”, such as sensors and curtain motors.
Besides this, we had to partition an area, separated by smart curtains and with smart lighting on the ceiling, to create an Experience Centre. In this space, we have Aqara Smart Lighting – in terms of magnetic tracks and downlights – all fully integrated into our smart home system and adjustable through wireless switches, touchscreen switches, apps, and voice control. It also has a similarly functional smart curtain system, smart vertical blind system, and smart roller blinds. To top it off, there’s also a door with an Aqara D200i smart door lock – complete with an S1E switch for quick controls and a Video Doorbell G4 outside the door.
