Smart Home – Brighton Avenue, Singapore
Condominium | Serangoon, Singapore | 2 Adult, 1 Child
In this landed project, we focused on the master bedroom of the house. The room consists of three distinct areas – living area, parent’s bedroom area and future child’s bedroom area, along with two bathrooms, offering ample space for us to explore a variety of smart solutions. Our goal was to seamlessly integrate technology that would elevate the daily experience of the homeowners, while also enhancing the overall aesthetic of the room.
At the heart of the smart home system is the M3 hub, which was placed at the highest shelf on the wardrobe. This hub acts as the central command center for all the smart devices within the bedroom. Notably, it connects directly to the air conditioner in the future child’s room, allowing for seamless remote control and the ability to set timers to automatically adjust the room’s temperature, ensuring comfort at all times.
One of the standout features of the design is the integration of smart lighting throughout the master bedroom. We incorporated smart lights paired with smart LED strips, offering customizable lighting effects that can adapt to different moods and times of day. These LED strips were strategically placed around the room, accentuating areas such as cove lighting, floor corners, wardrobes, and bedheads. The lighting temperature and brightness are programmed to change according to the time of day, creating a dynamic atmosphere that perfectly suits morning routines, cozy evenings, or restful nights. You can see this transformation in the images of our LED strips showcased below.

For general overhead lighting, we used our T2 recessed downlights, ensuring that the room remains bright and welcoming. The downlights provide even illumination, creating a clean and modern feel to the space without overwhelming the design.
In terms of privacy and comfort, we installed motorised day and night curtain tracks, providing effortless control over natural light and the ability to fully automate the opening and closing of the curtains. This system works perfectly in both the parents’ and future child’s areas of the master bedroom, offering tailored convenience for different needs. Timers were also integrated, allowing the curtains to open and close based on the time of day or a set schedule, providing privacy when needed and letting in light at the right moments.
To address the small grill window at the entrance of the room, we installed motorized day blinds. These blinds serve a dual purpose: they block out the harsh glare of the sun during the day while still allowing soft, natural light to filter through. This balance ensures a comfortable atmosphere throughout the day.
For ease of control, the homeowners selected our champagne H1 switch, which pairs beautifully with the room’s interior design. In addition, the S1E touchscreen switches were strategically placed to provide quick and intuitive access to all lighting functions across the room. These switches can be customized, offering the flexibility to control individual areas of the room or set scenes that adjust the lighting, curtains, and other elements with a single touch.
The security of the master bedroom was also a priority. To enhance the overall security and convenience, a U100 smart door lock was installed. This modern lock offers multiple access options, including fingerprint recognition, Apple HomeKey, and NFC cards. This means that the homeowners can securely unlock the door with ease, using whichever method is most convenient for them at the moment.
