Smart Home – The Avenir, Singapore

Condominium | River Valley, Singapore | 2 Adult

Here’s yet another exciting project we had the pleasure of completing at The Avenir. This beautifully designed unit features 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 modern bathrooms. One of the highlights of the space is the master bedroom, which includes a walk-in closet—an area we paid special attention to in terms of both functionality and aesthetics.

Throughout the home, we incorporated smart LED lighting in creative and practical ways. These aren’t just your typical cove lights—LED strips were also integrated seamlessly into the carpentry, elevating the space with a clean, modern glow. One standout design element is the walk-in wardrobe, where we installed continuous LED strips that trace the lines of the cabinetry. The lighting here softly illuminates the clothing inside, offering both an ambient and practical light source that makes the wardrobe feel luxurious and easy to use. For display closets and wardrobes, we opted for cooler, lower-brightness lighting to better showcase clothing items without being harsh. Meanwhile, the cove lighting around the unit uses a warmer colour temperature to create a cozy, inviting atmosphere.

Of course, all LED lighting installed in the home can be adjusted in both brightness and colour temperature, giving the homeowners complete flexibility to match the lighting to their mood, time of day, or activity.

Moving into the kitchen, we kept things safe and functional. T2 recessed downlights serve as the main lighting source, providing even illumination across the workspace. A gas detector has also been installed for enhanced safety, giving peace of mind to the homeowners. Additionally, a ceiling-mounted E1 camera offers real-time monitoring and two-way communication—especially useful, as the helper often works in the kitchen and the owner wanted the ability to check in and communicate from anywhere.

In the master bedroom, the owner opted for E27 smart bulbs to power his bedside pendant lights. These bulbs are fully controllable remotely, making it easy to turn lights on or off, dim them, or change the colour temperature—all without getting out of bed.

Around the home, the owner selected H1 Champagne switches for a sleek look and seamless integration with automation settings. Paired with wireless smart switches, the home allows easy control over scenes and lighting presets with a single touch.

In the living room, a G3 camera hub has been installed. This camera not only provides remote viewing access to the space, including the ability to control the air conditioning via smartphone, but it also includes a pet-tracking feature—perfect for keeping tabs on the family dog, who spends most of his time lounging around this area.

Security and convenience were also top priorities. At the main entrance, we installed a D200i facial recognition smart lock for seamless and secure access. Complementing this is a G4 video doorbell, which integrates with the rest of the smart system and allows all functions—lighting, security, climate control, and more—to be managed through a single app.
