We spend a lot of time obsessing over design. So much so that we ended up, once again, at FIND Design Fair Asia – for the 2025 edition (we were also exhibiting in 2024). As Asia’s premier exhibition for interior design, and as the highlight of Singapore Design Week, we felt it was our duty to showcase how smart home technologies can be beautifully incorporated into homes and interior through the use of design.
Of course, design as a concept isn’t practical without the physical objects – it was in the fair where we displayed our smart home products, and how they work and function.
Here’s a sneak peek.
The HomeSmart Experience
We’ve always believed in the visual effect of smart home products, and we needed the space to show it. To be sure, displaying a range of smart lighting, switches, sensors, curtains, blinds, door locks, cameras, hubs, speakers, tablets, wireless controls, and more isn’t easy, but we managed to make do over a 25 square metre space.
Besides the products, people liked and wanted to see how our products work in practice. Smart home controls, including iPads, smart speakers, and wireless controls were all part of the show.
We also showcased our Vestaboard – a beautiful, analogue-yet-digital flipping display like what you used to see at the airports (if you’re old enough). With its internet connectivity, visitors could update our Vestaboard simply by scanning a QR code to write a message and send it to the board – no download required. Some of the messages we saw were “Happy 60th birthday Singapore” and “Karwai is so damn beautiful”.
Smart Home Products and Devices
Gathering extra attention were some of the new products we were debuting at the show. First and foremost, it is the most recently released Aqara Doorbell G410, a second-generation doorbell from Aqara with improvements in viewing angle, clarity, and connectivity.
The Aqara Presence Sensor FP300 was perhaps the most intriguing – announced since last year, we finally have a physical product to showcase. We’ve received a lot of enquiries and interest in this product, and it’s clearly poised to take over the smart sensor space with its mmWave occupancy sensor, integrated PIR motion sensor, and – very importantly – its flexibility in mounting with battery operation.
Smart Home Curtains and Blinds
As a smart home solutions provider, our clients trust us to meet their needs, and one of the most important aspects of smart homes is in its curtains and blinds. This category alone encompasses a wide range of different products, and we were showcasing how our solutions include almost all types of window coverings, including S-Fold curtains, pleated curtains, roller shades, venetian blinds, roman blinds, and zebra blinds.
Smart Lights and Switches
Of course, we can’t be said to be neglecting one of our core competencies – smart switches and smart lights. In fact, included in our exhibition are a range of lighting that we’ve been working on to integrate into our clients’ smart homes.
A Thank You Note
We’ve always been grateful to our clients, partners, and the community for their support and encouragement over the years. During exhibitions like this, we’re always heartened to see both new and familiar people, and honoured that they will spend some time with us to share how design affects and impacts homes and spaces. If you dropped by to say hi, thank you! If not – our showroom is at 24 Keong Saik road, and it’s open to both industry partners and to homeowners. We’d love to see you there – just get in touch or drop off a contact form!
